For the suite of Microsoft Office 365 and each main subject area for our Soft Skills courses, we are able
to give learners access on our website to complete an online assessment that will assess their current
understanding of the subject as required.
As most of our courses are graded by levels of expertise, from introduction through to expert, we can
test a learner’s comprehension and knowledge based on all levels per product. Learners have the ability
to save their responses as they go along and return to an assessment later to complete at a more
convenient time.
If your company would like a learner’s interpretation of a case study or scenario, this can also be
provided for and is marked by one of our subject experts.
Blazing Moon is able to completely customise our assessments as per your company requirements.
IT Assessments:
For an IT Assessment, you can choose from Microsoft Office 365 products of Excel, Word, Outlook, and
PowerPoint and also classifications within each product group, for example you could choose to measure
competency on templates and styles in Word. Each assessment is made up of a series of multiple-choice
questions and possible choice answers at the Introduction, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert Levels. All
assessments are marked immediately, and scoring is available in real time.
Upon completion of each assessment, the results are reported online in the learner dashboard showing a
competency rating at each level measured in the assessment. Reported results determine current
knowledge levels per product and from analysis by Blazing Moon will determine the recommended
learning path a learner should follow. For attendance of a course, a score of 60% for the pre-requisite
course is required.
Soft Skills Assessments:
Our soft skills assessments are based on your current understanding and application of a subject area,
i.e. like Emotional Intelligence, Business Writing Skills, Email Etiquette, etc. A scoring of 60% and below
determines your readiness to attend the desired course and the mark achieved on your assessment will
be recorded as your pre assessment score upon registration of the course. The results reported then will
determine your current knowledge per product offering and from analysis by Blazing Moon will determine
the recommended learning path you should follow. Once again, if your company would like a learner’s
interpretation of a case study or scenario, this can also be provided for and is marked by one of our
