The principal purpose of this course is to provide learners with the key understanding and skills required to make the choices necessary to lead disciplined, dedicated and committed lives and, in doing so, to develop and maintain the resilience required for responding positively to the challenges of living effectively and successfully in today’s world. One of the key objectives of this course aims at providing learners with the understanding and skills to deal effectively with the challenges that arise especially in the work environment and, in doing so, learners will recognize that an effective balance between life and work must be identified and achieved. A crucial aspect of this is learners developing the understanding and skills for taking responsibility for themselves in the work environment and this, in turn, requires making choices in a mature and disciplined way.
